What is Fiscal Sponsorship?

Fiscal sponsorship offers a smart, efficient way for philanthropists, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations to launch charitable initiatives without forming a new nonprofit entity. By partnering with Tandy Family Charitable Foundation., your project operates under our 501(c)(3) umbrella, giving you the credibility, structure, and federal tax-exempt status enjoyed by established public charities.

This model also supports existing nonprofits by reducing administrative burden, strengthening regulatory compliance, and freeing up time to focus on mission-driven work instead of back-office operations.

As a recognized 501(c)(3) public charity, sponsored projects under Tandy Family Charitable Foundation operate using our EIN and benefit from our administrative framework, financial management experience, and compliance oversight. We handle the accounting, fund management, and IRS requirements—allowing your initiative to run smoothly and sustainably.

Difference Between an Independent 501(c)(3) and Fiscal Sponsorship

Launching a standalone nonprofit can be time-consuming, costly, and administratively complex. Fiscal sponsorship with Tandy Family Charitable Foundation. offers a streamlined alternative—allowing you to stay focused on your mission while we manage the financial, compliance, and administrative responsibilities.

Immediate Access to 501(c)(3) Status

Forming a new nonprofit often requires months of IRS processing time. Partnering with Tandy Consulting Inc. gives your project immediate use of our established 501(c)(3) status, letting you begin fundraising, applying for grants, and building programs right away—without waiting for federal approval.

Low Overhead, Higher Impact

Most independent nonprofits spend 20–30% of annual revenue on administrative operations such as bookkeeping, compliance, filings, and donation management.
Tandy Consulting Inc.’s fiscal sponsorship model keeps these costs significantly lower—just 6%—so more of your funding goes directly toward your mission.

You also gain access to discounted professional services, including:

  • Accounting and financial reporting
  • Regulatory compliance support
  • Donation processing and platform access
  • Grant management
  • Legal and administrative resources

Full Compliance Without the Administrative Burden

When your project operates under Tandy Family Charitable Foundation's 501(c)(3) umbrella, we take on all IRS-related filings and reporting requirements on your behalf. This includes Form 990, required schedules, and any audit support.

By launching your charitable initiative within our existing structure, you avoid the major obligations that come with forming an independent nonprofit—such as incorporating, creating a board of directors, writing bylaws, managing state-level filings, and maintaining ongoing corporate compliance.

Enhanced Credibility and Expanded Grant Opportunities

Tandy Consulting Inc along with Tandy Family Charitable Foundation's established reputation and extensive history working with funders strengthen your project's credibility from day one.

Program Details

What is fiscal sponsorship?

Fiscal sponsorship is an arrangement where a qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit--Tandy Consulting Inc.--extends its tax-exempt status to an individual, project, or organization whose mission aligns with ours. This allows your project to operate under our nonprofit umbrella rather than forming your own 501(c)(3).

Through fiscal sponsorship, your project becomes eligible to receive grants and tax-deductible donations (both monetary and in-kind), using Tandy Consulting Inc.'s 501(c)(3) status. You can stay focused on delivering your mission while we handle compliance, donation processing, and administrative support.
