• What would you want to ask for when attempting to settle one the labor board offers mediation?  (no lawyers needed but you should have an advisor; 6 months until first hearing, and 3 years until investigation and judgment.)

• What would you want to ask for if you if accepting a settlement after a lawyer is involved (and how much will they take from this amount?).  If you want to move for a PAGA action, this can be exponentially higher in their initial demand, but you may walk away with less in your pocket as the State and lawyers will get the majority of the winnings after many years.  Early settlements are great too, but you will see a fraction of the total payment.
